Project developed for a Logo Contest promoted by the Brazilian Navy in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Riachuelo Naval Battle.
In 2015 I was tagged in a Brazilian Navy contest. At the time I had just graduated, I still didn’t have much work and needed projects for my portfolio, so I decided to try. I didn’t win but the experience remained. 🙂
Defense
A bit of what I wrote in defense (today I would write in a more direct way): “The logo created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Riachuelo Naval Battle updates the historical landmark and establishes a bridge between memory and renewal, preserving the tradition – the coat of arms, the blue and golden color – transformed by contemporary elements – the typography, the waves of the sea and the ribbons.”
